Halal Côte d’Ivoire launches the public register of its certificates

Halal Côte d’Ivoire is putting online the public register of its halal certificates. Consumers, distributors and importers can now check in a few seconds that a company is really certified, and that its certificate is still valid.

How to verify a certificate

• On halalci.org/verifier-un-certificat, enter the certificate number (for example 012/026MG) or the company name.
• Or scan the QR code printed on the new certificates: it opens the certificate record directly.
• The record shows the status of the certificate in real time: valid, expired or suspended.

Why this register

The misuse of the halal label misleads consumers and penalizes companies that invest in serious certification. The public register lets everyone tell a truly certified product from one that displays the label without any control.
