The first halal body in West Africa
Since 2015, Halal Côte d’Ivoire has controlled and certified halal products and services according to Islamic requirements, at every stage of production and marketing, and supports companies committed to authentic halal.

Serving consumers, supporting companies
As an independent body, we authenticate halal products and services through strict, permanent controls: slaughterhouses, food industries, butchers, catering, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
Our intention: to earn Allah’s approval by guaranteeing consumers food that complies with their faith, without the slightest doubt.
The companies we certify (manufacturers, slaughterhouses, butchers, caterers) are our partners: we support them from the initial quote to the renewal of their certificate, so that they gain consumer trust and new markets.
Guarantee, inform, support
Guarantee
Control and certify according to OIC standards, with on-site audits and unannounced checks.
Inform
Inform consumers and public authorities about authentic halal, and make every certificate verifiable.
Support
Train slaughtermen and teams, then support each company from the quote to the renewal of its certificate.
The companies we certify
More than 50 companies, in 8 sectors, entrust us with the certification of their products: food industries, slaughterhouses, butchers, catering, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals.
Our auditors go on site, explain each requirement and help the company correct any gaps before the decision. The certificate obtained can then be verified by everyone in our public register.

Eleven years serving halal
- 2015 · Founding
HALAL-Côte d’Ivoire was born to fill a void: no shared definition of halal, certificates issued without control, consumers without reliable information.
- 2024 · First edition of Halal Expo West Africa
The fair brings together certified companies, institutions and buyers from the region.
- 2026 · Third edition and public register
Halal Expo takes place from 16 to 18 July. Halal Côte d’Ivoire puts online the public register of its certificates, verifiable by QR code.
A certificate recognised worldwide
The Halal Côte d’Ivoire certificate opens markets well beyond West Africa. It is based on the reference halal standards of the Muslim world: SMIIC 1 of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (57 member countries), GSO 2055 of the Gulf countries and MS 1500 of Malaysia.
